After you submit this form, you will be contacted by a volunteer so we can obtain any additional information we need prior to issuing a voucher. During this call, you will have the opportunity to select a veterinary clinic from our list. These are clinics that have made arrangements with Lincoln Animal Ambassadors to participate in our program.
This is an all-volunteer program, funded solely by donations. Due to high demand and the availability of funding and volunteers, the wait list can be more than four weeks long. We answer requests in the order they are received. Be sure to contact us if any of the information on your initial application changes.
While waiting to have a voucher issued, we recommend that you get your pet up-to-date on all of their vaccinations. Our veterinarians require that animals are current on their vaccinations before they will complete the spay/neuter procedure. Vaccincation costs may be covered as part of a special program. If vaccination costs are included, it will be advertised as part of the program. When vaccinations aren't included, a list of low-cost vaccination clinics can be found on our website.
Once you receive a voucher, it is your responsibility to contact the veterinary office you have selected to schedule an appointment. The appointment must be scheduled within 30 days of receiving the voucher or the voucher expiration date listed on the voucher. The surgery does not need to be completed before the expiration date. It is also your responsibility to take your pet to the veterinarians’ office for their appointment.
